Evolutions Design System The Evolutions System one-step bed design is just that! Whether you choose metal, wood or plastic the head and footboards for each material are identical; assembling a single bed or fabricating a bunk, all the bed ends are the same. No more matching short ends and tall ends, you basically have one item to work with. Utilizing the Evolution System guarantees you the widest range of spring height adjustability offered in today's marketplace. The heart of the system is the bedspring frame. The spring frames will be interchangeable with a variety of head and foot boards, that will be adjustable in height and configuration. Evolutions Metal Beds Adjustable height headboard construction: All components are fabricated from 54,000 PSI minimum yield HRP & O steel tubing. Bedposts are fabricated of 1-1/2" square tubing with a wall thickness of 16ga. (0.065"). Stretchers are of 1-1/2"x1" rectangular tubing with a thickness of 16ga. (0.065"). Two laser-cut pin plates of 11ga. thickness allow for the insertion of 12 pins, each creating 11 height adjustments from bottom to top in 3" increments. The entire unit is robotically MIG welded. Specially designed high-impact plastic inserts are installed in the bedpost to act as both floor glides and allow stacking when assembling bunks or lofts.
