Description   Vinyl Mattress Covers are constructed of 11 ounce per square yard of triple layered reinforced vinyl laminate. The covers are constructed with a heavy duty nylon zipper around one end and part way down both sides. This allows the cover to be easily put on. The zipper is placed so as not to interfere with either sleeping surface. The nylon zipper and slide will prevent corrosion. The cover is constructed with all seams inverted with the exception of the zipper area. The encasement method of construction results in a negative environment for bed bugs. Our covers are designed to wear like iron and to last years. Fire retardant vinyl laminate cover meets durable flame resistance requirements prescribed by method 5903 in the Federal Specification CCCT-191. Helpful Hints: The Zippered Replacement Cover for innerspring mattress are relatively easy to put on. We suggest that two people work together to apply the mattress cover. First make sure that the cover you have fits the mattress you are covering. We try to band same sizes together when various sizes are order. Next: slip the cover part way on to the end of the mattress. Make sure you are putting the cover on square; they are very difficult to adjust if you put them on cock-eyed. With one person standing on each side of the mattress each one should grab the cover at the open mouth but below where the zipper starts and stops. Lift the mattress into a vertical position and "shuck" the mattress into the cover. If you pull on one of the open flaps of the cover you will rip the stitching apart where the zipper start and stops (this is the weakest and most venerable point in your cover's life.) Finish by closing the open mouth over the end of the mattress and zipping up. Bourdons covers are heavy enough so that we are sure you will not take them off to wash them in a machine, therefore, when the cover is place close the zipper and put a spot of super glue behind the slide. This will prevent the cover from being removed with out authorization, and will eliminate a place to hide contraband (candy bars, crackers, magazines etc.) When cleaning a Bourdons cover we suggest that you use a liquid anti-bacterial soap. Using bleach continuously will dry out the vinyl, whether it is Bourdons or any other manufacturer.
